LANA DEL REY — Video Games (Live on David Letterman)
This is exactly what she needed to do on SNL! It might be too late for most people, but this was a near flawless performance.
If you’d like to spend a quiet night in, you should spend it watching Joanna Newsom on PBS, as they will be airing her Austin City Limits set tonight at 9:30. This is a preview of the show — the song is Bridges and Balloons.
Fleet Foxes are also performing, I think.

LANA DEL REY — Video Games, live on SNL
Not her best, but not as bad as some people are making it out to be. Wish she hadn’t used that weird voice again.

BON IVER — Beth/Rest (Live @ 9:30 Club)

In case you missed it, Bon Iver played a monumental version of album closer ‘Beth/Rest’ tonight during the encore of their show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC (which was streamed by NPR). Listen to it above and be sure to check out the rest of the show, which will soon be archived on the NPR website.
Animal Collective — “Did You See the Words” [Live]
Super excited to be going to this show tonight at Merriweather Post Pavilion! The new stage setup looks amazing! Here’s a great video of ‘Did You See The Words,’ shot by George over at AWD Castles.Such an enlightening experience to have finally caught an Animal Collective show. As I’ve heard prior to this show, Animal Collective played a whole lot of new material. A lot of variant styles in these new songs as well, enough to be completely stoked about the new record. The song above is one of ~4 songs that weren’t new and the only one that wasn’t off of Merriweather Post Pavillion.

Check out Ariel Pink performing the other night on Fallon! Great performance, great sequinned shirts, great post-performance awkwardness. The band played “Round and Round,” by the way.
