HOOP DREAMS — XCPR (2011)

Hoop Dreams - made up of Max Brooks and Jeff Haley (former members of Wild Nothing), Tommy Davidson (Dream Cop), Jordan Mrazik, Julie Shepherd, and Marcus McDonald - is another new band from Blacksburg, VA that’s making some amazing lo-fi tunes in the vein of Wild Nothing, Craft Spells, and Beach Fossils.

‘XCPR’ is a fast-paced, high energy song with an infectious chorus that you’ll definitely find yourself humming hours after listening. The track is the first single off of Hoop Dreams’ forthcoming EP (which I’ve been told will hopefully be ready by mid-May) and will soon have a video to accompany it, directed by Benjamin Brewer.

Check out Hoop Dreams’ Bandcamp and keep an eye out for news on the EP.
