PATRICK WOLF —- The City (Lupercalia, 2010)
Came across a copy of Patrick’s upcoming single, “The City,” tonight! It definitely lives up to the joyous mood Patrick promised would be felt on his next album, Lupercalia, which is due out in May.
The song features a stomping beat, some saxophone, and a really great uplifting atmosphere. This is definitely something that the fans of The Magic Position will be happy to hear — it’s just as radiant and fun as that song’s title track was, and probably then some.
